GETTING THERE

To reach "Honemaster Buttress" area, park at dam. Walk along north side of canyon until it is possible to follow brushy ramp to river.

If the water is low it is also possible to approach from the south side of the river. Turn left 3.2 miles west of bridge. Cross river, turn right on road leading footbridge and toilet. Scramble along rivers edge until it is possible to cross near base of "Honemaster".

1. CAFFIENE CRACK(9) Fun handcrack with lots of exposure. Rap in from rim. 50'

2. HONEMASTER(11c)*** Located 50' west of large black gully. Pitch 1: Original pitch is 9X. A new alternative pitch directly below the main corner is bolted. (11b; 70'). Pitch 2: Climb corner to rim. Stemming and fingercrack. 3bolts, small stoppers to .75" cams.(11c; 140') Many climbers rap from the rim and only do second pitch.

3. NEON PROPHET(11d)* Rap from bolts 20' east of "Honemaster". Climb face (run out in places?). (12 bolts; 160')

4. PACING THE CAGE(11b) Start 40' east of "Honemaster". Pitch1: Stem through 2 roofs and a bulge to aright facing corner. Follow corner to small ledge. 4 bolts, stoppers, TCUs, cams to 2". (11b; 100') Pitch 2: Follow finger/handcrack to rim. (9; 100')

5. LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO HAPPEN(10a) 20' right of "Pacing". Pitch 1: Climb face past bolt to crack. Follow crack system to bolted belay on top of chockstone(10a; 100'). Pitch 2: Stem up bolted corner, move left and through small roof with handcrack. Follow crack past bolt anchors(optional belay) to rim(10a; 100').

6. MANTLE HEALTH(7) Rap from bush on east edge of black gully, angling west into gully(200'!! watch your rope). Pitch 1: Start at waters edge. Climb corners and ledges, moving left towards short chimney. Belay on large ledge at top of chimney(7; 100'). Pitch 2: Move up and right to obvious crack in low angle face. Follow crack to rim(5; 100').
