Fremont Canyon, located between Casper and Lander, Wy., contains hundreds of high quality routes on solid, steep granite. Routes range from 40 to 400+ feet in length, and 5.6 to 5.13d in difficulty. Though known for it's steep crack climbs, many sport climbs and some bouldering problems have been developed.

This web site is not intended to be a complete route guide to Fremont Canyon. My intent is to provide information on popular areas and new routes as they are developed. For a more complete route guide see Steve Petro's Classic Rock Climbs: Fremont Canyon/Dome Rock, published by Falcon Books (available from Mountain Sports, Casper,Wy. 1-800-426-1136. Or ask your local climbing shop). A new, updated guide is in the works and should be out within the next year. So in other words all you cheap f*****s who are thinking about just printing pages from this web site need to fall off your wallets and by a book.
